What is a Taproom?
Our Taproom is not just any brewery bar; it’s an experience. We showcase our stellar brews, serve top-notch Neapolitan pizza, and offer a range of drinks from cocktails to soft beverages. More importantly, it’s a vibrant social hub where you’ll always feel welcome and well looked after.
Where is Sambrook’s Brewery, Taproom & Heritage Centre?
You’ll find us in the heart of Wandsworth, at the historic Ram Quarter - specifically 42 Ram Street, SW18 1UD. Look for the iconic brewery chimney. For the best entrance, walk through the archway on Ram Street, right next to our Heritage Centre. Here’s how to reach us:
- By Train:
- Wandsworth Town station, then a 5-minute stroll along Old York Road.
- Clapham Junction station, then a 15-minute walk via St John’s Hill and East Hill, or take any of the buses 37, 39, 87, 156 & 170.
- From Earlsfield or Putney: Hop on the 220 or 270 bus.
- By Bike: There’s a Santander Bike Station opposite the Taproom on Ram Street. If you’re riding your own bike, secure it at the Ram Quarter—our staff can guide you to the bike racks.
Can I Bring Children?
Absolutely! Sambrook’s Brewery Tap is family-friendly. Children are welcome on our terrace all day. However, inside the Taproom becomes a 16+ venue after 18:30.
Can I Bring My Dog?
Of course! Well-behaved dogs are always welcome at Sambrook’s Brewery Tap.
What Are Your Disabled Facilities?
We strive to ensure that every guest can fully enjoy the Sambrook’s experience. If you have any specific needs during your visit, please let one of our staff members know.
There is step free access to our terrace, ground floor, and our gender neutral accessible toilets which are also located on the ground floor
Step free access to all areas Heritage Centre and the Taproom mezzanine and Stack Room is available for all guests via an elevator in the shop / Heritage Center.
What events do you host at the Taproom?
Our Taproom is a hive of activity with something happening almost every night! From live music on Fridays and DJs on Saturdays to regular new beer launches, Jazz evenings, and special themed events, there’s always a reason to visit. Check out our events page for the latest updates.
Can I book the Taproom for private events?
Absolutely! We offer a private function room that seats up to 50 people, a large mezzanine level for 120, and the entire venue can accommodate bookings of 400+ guests. Perfect for parties, corporate events, or any special occasion. Get in touch at taproom@sambrooksbrewery.co.uk to discuss your event with us.
Do you offer brewery tours?
Yes, we do! Our Heritage Centre Manager, John Hatch, leads engaging and informative tours where you can learn all about our brewing process and the rich history of our site, which dates back to 1533. Tours are popular and booking in advance is required.

Do you have any seasonal or special beers?
We love experimenting with new flavours and styles with the launch of a monthly seasonal throughout the year. Once a month we also feature unique beers brewed on John Hatch’s nano-brewery, the kit that kept the brewing heritage of the site alive between 2006 and 2021.
How can I get Sambrook’s beer for my venue or event?
If you want to serve Sambrook’s beer at your pub, bar, shop, venue, or festival, we’d love to work with you. Join our trade mailing list or contact us at sales@sambrooksbrewery.co.uk. We offer flexible delivery, cellar maintenance, staff training, and much more to ensure our beer is enjoyed at its best.
Do you serve food at the Taproom?
Yes, we do! Our Taproom not only offers our fantastic range of beers but also serves delicious Neapolitan pizza, which pairs perfectly with our brews. We also have a selection of other quality food options including sides, Salads and more to match our range of cocktails and soft drinks to cater to all tastes.

Is there outdoor seating available?
Yes, our Taproom features a beautiful beer terrace set under the old brewery chimney in the heart of the Ram Quarter. It’s a great place to relax with a cocktail and pizza during the day or bring friends to unwind in the evening. Please note: We do not take reservations for the outside space. We take requests for seating and the manager on the day will try their best to accommodate, however we do not guarantee.
Do you offer any vegan or gluten-free options?
We aim to cater to all dietary requirements. Our menu includes a variety of options, and we have vegan and gluten-free choices available. If you have any specific dietary needs, please let our staff know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Do you have live music?
Yes, we do! We host live music events every Friday and have DJs spinning great tunes every Saturday. Our Taproom is a vibrant place with a lively atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to enjoy great music and great beer.
